Comprehensive Respiratory Therapy at Carnegie Park Post Acute

At Carnegie Park Post Acute, we are dedicated to helping our residents recover safely, comfortably, and confidently. A central part of that commitment is our respiratory therapy program, designed to support individuals who are healing from respiratory illnesses, managing chronic lung conditions, or recovering after surgery. By combining clinical expertise with personalized care, we help our patients breathe easier (in more ways than one) as they work toward recovery.

Supporting Recovery Through Specialized Respiratory Care

Respiratory health plays a vital role in overall well-being, especially in a post-acute setting. Many of our residents come to us following hospital stays for conditions such as pneumonia, COPD, or other respiratory complications. Our respiratory care program is designed to address these needs directly, providing targeted interventions that improve lung function and promote healing.

At Carnegie Park Post Acute, our respiratory services include oxygen management, breathing treatments, incentive spirometry, and pulmonary support tailored to each resident’s condition. These therapies are essential not only for improving comfort but also for reducing the risk of complications and hospital readmission. Our goal is to help each patient regain independence and return to their highest possible level of function.

A Team-Based Approach to Better Outcomes

What sets our respiratory therapy program apart is the way it integrates seamlessly with the rest of our care services. Our respiratory therapist works closely with nurses, physicians, and rehabilitation specialists to ensure a coordinated approach. This collaboration allows us to treat the whole person—not just their symptoms.

By aligning respiratory care with physical therapy, occupational therapy, and skilled nursing, we create a comprehensive recovery plan that addresses every aspect of a patient’s health. This team-based model helps ensure that progress in one area supports progress in another, leading to more efficient and effective outcomes.

Meet Brittney Wright, our Respiratory Therapist

At the heart of our respiratory therapy program is Brittney Wright, a dedicated respiratory therapist who brings both expertise and compassion to her role.

Brittney has been part of the PACS network for two years and has spent the past six months serving patients at Carnegie Park Post Acute. During that time, she has become an essential part of our clinical team, working closely with residents to improve their respiratory health and overall quality of life.

Her day-to-day work is hands-on and highly patient-focused. “I work closely with the respiratory patients, weaning oxygen, incentive therapy and administering breathing treatment for patients that are in distress,” she explains. This direct involvement allows her to monitor progress closely and make real-time adjustments to care as needed.

What Brittney values most about her role is the opportunity to see patients improve and successfully transition home. “I enjoy working with the residents and being a part of the team when discharging patients. It’s an enjoyment to see the improvement of the patients when they are being discharged,” she says. Her passion for patient success is evident in the care she provides each day.

Carnegie Park Post Acute’s Commitment to our Patients
