WOW! You can tell that Carnegie Park Post Acute is investing their time and talent in changing the perception and patient experience in this building. I 100% would send my loved one there again! Thanks to all the staff that worked endlessly in making sure everything met our standards.

REALLY ITS -0 STARS It was the worst facility I have EVER experienced!!! The staff on the first floor are some lazy disrespectful people They are vindictive and rude!¡ They don’t practice proper hygiene etiquette and treat the patients very poorly it’s a sad shame that people are being treated this way!!!! SOMETHING NEEDS TO BE DONE!!!!! THEY ARE DISGRACING YOUR COMPANY NAME!!!

We had continual issues with our Dad’s care and can not recommend CPPA in good faith. Like other posts, our loved one experienced negligence, understaffing, lack of attention to basic care, ignored requests and some of the administrative staff are kind to your face but disparaging when they *think* you have left. My mistake is that it took me almost a year to leave this review.

Our landscape company provided snow removal services for Carnegie Post Acute this past Winter. Unfortunately, they have refused to pay their invoices(after several attempts), leaving us short by thousands of dollars. This is not the kind of company I would recommend to anyone for their friends or relatives. Response to response: It is truly astonishing how promptly you can address a negative review yet fail to respond to the numerous emails we have sent concerning your overdue invoices. Despite calling the number provided, we have not made any progress. It is important to note that the work was carried out after the transition to new management. Our team worked tirelessly, often late into the night, to ensure the safety of your patients by providing essential snow removal services. Your standard responses to negative reviews reflect a lack of genuine concern for your patients and vendors.

I’ve read all the negative comments and for me we didn’t experience any of that. My brother was on the 3rd floor and EVERYBODY was very kind and helpful. When he came in we thought that he was literally going to die. This facility got him turned around and he’s even walking now!!! Huge shout out to Amy, Jess and Barb for all that they did for my brother!! We thought the food was very good as well. If he ever needs skilled nursing again this will definitely be our “go to” for sure!!! Thanks again Carnegie Park!!!!!

Please improve your food. When visiting someone at your facility I saw that it’s disgusting. My dog wouldn’t eat it.

My mother was a patient for one week. During that week, she had a request for a test for an infection ignored for 3 days, developed an infection, she was given pills that were never prescribed by her family physician, ignored when she said she did not want to be given the pills, told to walk herself to the toilet ( she was a fall risk), then was told to wait for 40 minutes when she has to use the toilet, was put in a room where the heat was set to 85°, had a nurse tell us ” i will get around to your request after I do the other ten things that I have to do”. I was told by an employee that there was only one nurse and one aide for the entire floor, on a day that I visited. I will say there was one nurse that was very empathetic to our situation. I cryed after leaving the facility yesterday and promised my mother that she would be leaving the facility the following day.

My uncle went to Carnegie Park Post after chemotherapy. He was deconditioned from cancer treatment. The entire staff was wonderful. He said he really liked Joyce, a nurse on the first floor, CeCe and Austin ( CNAs). He also said the physical therapy was excellent. He liked working with both Dan’s in physical therapy and Craig and they were very encouraging to him. When he left, he was able to walk up 15 steps to enter his apartment. He told me ” Everyone should go there for rehab.” My uncle is now at home living alone.

My 84 year old brother is there for rehab post knee replacement. There is hardly any staff and coordination of care is nonexistent. They had no ice packs for him for two days then finally brought a bag of frozen peas to use. The food is cold by the time it is brought. Family had to search the halls to find someone to help get a cup of water.

My father was in Carnegie Park Post Acute for more than a month following an 11-day hospital stint for a GI emergency and bout with pneumonia. I can’t say enough about the admissions staff, social worker, Kayle, front desk attendant, Ms. Sheila, Ron and his PT team, the speech team, the nursing staff, and extended care staff including Cece. My 85-year-old dad improved tremendously during his stay, and I felt relieved to know that he was in good hands on days that I could not visit. Whenever I visited, Kayle and Ron in particular gave me a thorough report, and I could tell that they were personally invested in his care. I can tell that the new administration in the transition from Genesis to Carnegie Park wants to do a good job and are holding staff to a high standard. I can say without hesitation that my father’s quality of life improved during his stay at Carnegie Park. (I still rated 5 stars because the important aspects of care were met, but as with all post-acute care facilities, as the family, you need to stay on top of laundry. I did his laundry until I had it all labeled, but we had to stay on top of CP once we transitioned to them doing the laundry. I requested for his laundry to be completed before discharge to an assisted living facility, and it was not. In the grand scheme of things, this was minor for us but one area where CP could improve.)

Everyone that has a part in my mother’s care, have shown dedication and support for her healthcare. The staff are very personable. Not all patients are there for the same health issues so the nurses act accordingly. Would I recommend this facility absolutelyThe care my mother received was outstanding. I don’t have enough words to express my love for all of them.
